Why buy from Lemon & Whim?

Lemon and Whim is a one-woman business specializing in small-batch products. Each is handmade with care.

 

What is your shipping policy?

Domestic orders ship via USPS within 3-5 days. Limited international shipping is available through DHL.  If there is an unforeseen delay in processing, the customer will be notified.

 

My product was never delivered or it was damaged in shipment.  What should I do?

Please file a claim with USPS. Also, please share the order number, details and photos via the Contact Us section of this website.

 

What is your return policy?

Because of the nature of our products, Lemon & Whim does not accept returns.  All orders are final. We will work to correct errors made in processing. Please visit the Contact Us page.

 

Do you have a store I can visit?

Lemon & Whim does not have a storefront.  But free, local pickup is available in Arlington, VA.  Choose the "local pickup" option at checkout.

 

Why do my soaps vary in appearance or shape?

Because our products are homemade and hand-cut, they may vary in shape or appearance.  (We love uniqueness!)

 

Does my soap expire?

For best quality, we recommend using it within one year of purchase.

 

How do I make my soap last longer?

Keep it high and dry! Store your soap upright or in a slotted soap dish in between uses. Keeping it clear of water (when not in use, of course) will help to prolong the life.

Why are your soaps more expensive than those at my grocery store?

When you shop small, you're supporting artisans and business owners. For many, it takes a lot of time and energy to make, package, market and sell products.  The prices reflect this, along with the quality and craftsmanship put into each item.

 

Q. What ingredients do you use in your soap?  Are they vegan?

You will see a list of ingredients on each product's page.  Our ingredients, which are vegan, are bought from reputable vendors and are never tested on animals.  

 

Q.  My skin is feeling irritated.  What should I do?

Stop using the product immediately.
